Community Outreach
Health Outreach Programs
As an integral part of the Brooklyn community, Mount Sinai Brooklyn is devoted to serving the health needs of all borough residents. We do this by providing exceptional inpatient and outpatient health care and also by offering services to improve physical and emotional wellness.
- The “Stop Sepsis Program” is based upon a project developed in 2011 by the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The goal is to enhance the early identification and management of patients with suspected sepsis, a condition that results from infection and can quickly become life-threatening when it impairs blood flow to organs.
