Educational ProgramsMessage from the DeanMessage from the DeanAt Mount Sinai School of Medicine, we have built our reputation on a foundation of excellence in education informed by visionary leaders, internationally renowned faculty, and outstanding trainees. |
OverviewAt Mount Sinai School of Medicine, the foundations of our mission are education, science, clinical care, and community service. We value each of these components equally, which is why we can boast of an NIH rank among the top 20 schools in the country while being among the three finalists for the national 2008 AAMC Spencer Foreman Award for Outstanding Community Service. Add to this one of the most innovative and rapidly evolving curricula in the country and a student body that is unparalleled for its intellect, passion, diversity, and advocacy, and you have an unbeatable combination. In the past three years we have poured enormous resources into renovating and expanding our campus, with a special focus on educational space, all of which has been rebuilt. Our classrooms, team rooms, labs and auditoriums are state-of-the-art and suited to meet the needs of our new curriculum so that students can get the educational experience they deserve. Our goal is to train outstanding physicians and scientists who will be informed advocates and activists throughout their professional lives. At Mount Sinai you will be surrounded by patients who will look to you to embody these values, and by role models who espouse them. There is no better environment in which you can fulfill your potential. |
