Social Work
Throughout the Mount Sinai Health System, we offer social work services on every inpatient unit and in outpatient locations. Our social workers, who are a part of the health care team, can help you or your loved ones during a hospital stay, which can be a difficult time. Our social workers help you plan for discharge from the hospital and collaborate with the rest of the health care team about your needs during and after hospitalization. We can provide information on and referrals to outside care providers, short-term counseling, and crisis intervention services, and can also help advocate for you and your family.
