Open Clinical Trial

CObalt chromium STent with Antiproliferation for Restenosis II Trial.

To demonstrate the efficacy of Costar Paclitaxel-Eluting Cornary Stent (investigational device) system compared to TAXUSTM Express2TM Drug Eluting Coronary Stent System. All subjects will have clinical follow-up at 30 days and 8 months, and telephone follow-up at 12 months and annually thereafter up to 5 years. Some subjects will have follow-up angiography at 9 months, if they were selected to receive 9month angiography OR two overlapping stents.

  • Inclusion

    1.Patient is more than 18 years of age, understands and agrees to study requirements and provides written informed consent 2.chest pain
  • Exclusion

    1.Allergy to aspirin and plavix, or prior allergic reaction to contrast agents 2.Acute or chronic kidney problems 3.Stroke within the past 6 months or GI bleed within the past 3 months and heart attack within 72 hours prior with EKG changes and elevated cardiac enzymes 4.Positive pregnancy test within 7 days 5.Currently participating in another drug or device study
