Endothelial Function in Fibromuscular Dysplasia

The purpose of this study is to evaluate blood vessel function in subjects with fibromuscular dysplasia and to determine whether there are any changes in vascular function as compared to healthy age, gender and ethnic origin matched controls

    Males and Females ages 18-80 -with fibromuscular dysplasia and no hypertension -with fibromuscular dysplasia and with hypertension -healthy age, gender and ethnic origin-matched controls with no hypertension -healthy age, gender and ethnic origin-matched controls with hypertension

  • Exclusion

    current smoking history of alcohol abuse use of medications: vasoactive antihypertensives,phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, endothelin receptor antagonists and prostacyclin derivatives
