In Vitro Fertilization

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is an effective treatment for a variety of causes of infertility. IVF involves retrieving eggs and sperm to create embryos in a laboratory setting, then placing the embryo into the uterus, with the goal of achieving pregnancy. IVF may be used in conjunction with embryo genetic testing in order to identify the healthiest embryo for transfer.

Egg Freezing and Fertility Preservation

Fertility preservation involves cryopreserving (freezing) eggs, sperm, or embryos for use in the future. Fertility preservation, such as egg freezing, may be pursued for personal reasons, such as wanting to focus on career, education, or other life goals, or for medical purposes, such as preserving fertility before undergoing cancer treatment.

Egg Donor Conception

Egg donation can help a variety of patients achieve their family-building goals, including women with impaired ovarian function, same-sex male couples, and single men. During an egg donation cycle, eggs from a donor and sperm from the patient, partner, or sperm donor are combined in the laboratory. A resulting embryo is transferred to the uterus of the patient or gestational surrogate in order to achieve pregnancy.
