About Me
Dr. Yuxin Liu is a Professor of Pathology in the Division of Gynecologic Pathology. She has a strong academic interest in the field of HPV-associated anal cancer and cervical cancer. Together with Drs. Michael Gaisa and Keith Sigel in the Department of Medicine, they lead a productive and translational anal cancer research program within the Mount Sinai Health System (PPAC). Dr. Liu is co-PI for three NCI-funded clinical trials, including the first trial of anal cancer screening among HIV-negative women at risk (SWAN study).
Dr. Liu has served as the Board of Directors of the International Anal Neoplasia Society (IANS) 2021-2023, an organization dedicated to anal cancer prevention and treatment. Currently, Dr. Liu is the Director of the AIDS Malignancy Consortium (AMC) HPV Core Laboratory and performs central pathology review for multiple AMC clinical trials conducted nationally and internationally.
