About Me
Scott I. Aydin, MD is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Divisions of Pediatric Critical Care and Cardiology in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital and Medical Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Aydin obtained his undergraduate degree from New York University and received his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine American Program. He completed his Pediatric residency at Cohen Children’s Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care medicine and Pediatric Cardiology. In addition to specializing in both pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine and focusing his efforts on the care of the child in the cardiac critical care unit, Dr. Aydin’s research interests include studying the interaction between the heart and kidney in the post-open heart surgical patient, mechanical support for heart failure, Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, postoperative arrhythmias and follow-up of the infant with single ventricle.
