Pediatric Telemedicine Appointments
We offer high-quality and efficient telemedicine/video appointments for new and follow-up care appointments for infants, children, adolescents, and adults. This allows your child to have a virtual visit with our world-class specialists either from the comfort of your home or another convenient location or on the go using a smartphone, tablet or computer through live audio and video. We recognize that this is a very stressful and uneasy time due to the COVID-19 pandemic and we want to make your experience as comfortable and as convenient as possible, while reducing your potential risk of exposure.
Some conditions require a physical examination or an in-person visit. However, we are encouraging telemedicine visits to start the conversation about your child's symptoms and determine next steps which can include prescribing medications if needed. Our pediatric patients and families have given us great feedback about their experience and enjoy the various benefits of real-time video visits. Please note, for some of the surgical specialties, a telemedicine visit may be done through a different medium of communication, please call the provider’s office directly for more information.
Please note: Your child needs an active MyMountSinai account. Once you have an active MyMountSinai account, telemedicine visits are conducted using the MyMountSinai App (further instruction about using and downloading the app are below). You can download the MyMountSinai app on your smart phone, tablet or computer. You must be in New York State during the call. Please call 212-241-4242 to sign up for MyMountSinai, to schedule a telemedicine visit and for general questions. Our staff can help you set up your child’s MyMountSinai account and guide you to ensure a smooth visit.
