A mother and father received the best gift this holiday season ̶ their baby boy got to hear their voices for the first time. Doctors recently inserted two cochlear implants to help him hear. “He’s able to catch up to his normal hearing peers. His ability to reach his full potential is the best it could possibly be,” said his surgeon, Maura Cosetti, MD, assistant professor of otolaryngology and neurosurgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
