Research Compliance
Mount Sinai regularly monitors research activities and provides regulatory guidance on clinical trial management, example-based education regarding clinical trial conduct, and annual and directed regulatory compliance education, as needed. Internal audits ensure that human subject research conducted at Mount Sinai meets federal as well as institutional regulations and that trial data is accurate, complete, and verifiable.
Mount Sinai monitors conflicts of interest in research programs, which include proper disclosure and auditing of the management plans of the Mount Sinai Financial Conflicts of Interest in Research Committee (FCOIRC).
Mount Sinai strives for transparency and provides the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and other monitoring programs with guidance and pre-review regarding Mount Sinai research efforts and assists with outside audits, investigations, and site visits.
