Eugenius J Harvey, MBBS
Dr. Harvey is board certified in general surgery and fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. Born and raised in the island of Bermuda, he was educated in England and attended medical school at Oxford University and the Royal Free and University College Medical School in London, graduating in 2000. His postgraduate training in general surgery was divided equally between academic hospitals in London and his surgical residency here at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s- Roosevelt Medical Center. He developed a particular interest in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, and, at his graduation, was awarded the Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Achievement Award. He then furthered his experience with a clinical fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, before returning to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt to join the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery as an attending.

Subhash Kini, MD
Dr. Kini is the Director of the Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Divison of Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine. He is also the director of the Bariatric Fellowship. After training in general surgery in the United Kingdom, he went on to do a Laparoendoscopic Fellowship at the Welsh Institute of Minimal Access Therapy in Cardiff, UK. Dr. Kini is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) of England, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. After completing a laparoscopic research fellowship in Mount Sinai Medical Center and a laparoscopic clinical fellowship in New York Medical College, Dr. Kini joined the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in the Division of Laparoscopic Surgery at Mount Sinai in 2004. Dr. Kini is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He also serves on the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) Resident Committee and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Research Committee. Dr. Kini has been performing advanced laparoscopic surgery since 1995. His practice is focused primarily on advanced laparoscopic bariatric surgery, anti reflux surgery and advanced laparosocpic surgery. Dr. Kini is currently performing research in several areas of minimally invasive bariatric procedures and antireflux surgery. Dr. Kini is also currently pursuing his PhD in Clinical Research at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Ninan Koshy, MBBS
Dr. Ninan Koshy is a general surgeon at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s. He completed his medical education in India, graduating in 1991, and did his general surgery residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. During this time he spent a year in research and coauthored several papers. Dr. Koshy was then appointed as an attending in general surgery at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center and has been part of the faculty ever since.

Trained in open bariatric surgery during his residency, Dr. Koshy continued his interest in the field and in 2004 started performing laparoscopic bariatric surgery as part of the bariatric team at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Koji Park, MD
Dr. Koji Park is an attending surgeon in the Division of Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West Hospitals. He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Park is a board certified general surgeon and fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. He was born in Matsuyama, Japan, and raised in New York. He graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Psychology.

Dr. Park obtained his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY and completed his postgraduate residency training in general surgery here at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Medical Center. He went on to complete a clinical fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at Yale University before returning to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West.

Dr. Koji Park has published widely in the fields of minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. His research accomplishments earned him a nomination for the John Halverson Young Investigator Award by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. During his last year of residency, he received the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons’ Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Achievement Award, as well as the Department of Surgery’s Chief Resident of the Year Award.

His clinical areas of interest include bariatric surgery; surgery for reflux, achalasia, and gastroparesis; complex hernia surgery; general surgery; trauma surgery.
