Safe Horizon Counseling Center

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9 am – 8 pm; Friday, 9 am – 6 pm; Saturday, 9 am – 4 pm
Services: Outpatient treatment, counseling, mental health care, group therapy, family counseling, individual counseling, can connect to other Safe Horizon services including practical assistance, court services, shelter for victims of domestic violence or homeless youth, support groups
Appointments: Call to make an appointment, has an office location in East Harlem
Cost: The Counseling Center is a member of many insurance networks. If you do not have insurance coverage, they will gladly assist in locating sources of coverage or establishing a sliding fee scale based on income and need.

Languages: English and Spanish spoken in Brooklyn location; English only in East Harlem location

Safe Horizon Domestic Violence Law Project

Hours: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Services: Represent and provide consultations to domestic violence survivors in cases involving child custody, visitation, divorce, orders of protection, or child support.
Appointments: For the Child Advocacy Center (CAC), must be reported to the New York State Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment or to the police to be referred to a CAC.
Cost: Free or sliding scale legal services for the Domestic Violence Law Project
