Tracheal Surgery
The Tracheal Surgery Program at Mount Sinai provides specialized treatment for common and rare disorders affecting the function of the trachea. We work closely with anesthesiologists, thoracic surgeons, pulmonologists, speech pathologists, and gastroenterologists to provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of tracheal and airway disorders.
Whether your condition results from a benign disease or is a side effect of cancer treatment, Mount Sinai has extensive experience performing tracheal resections (removals) for primary tumors of the trachea.
Our services include:
- Carinal resections and reconstructions
- Laryngotracheal resection and cervical exenterations
