Patients with complex cases that require tertiary care facilities have direct access to surgeons at The Mount Sinai Hospital on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. As part of our electronic medical records system, all physicians within the Mount Sinai network have access to patient charts in real time. This system reduces medical errors, expedites access to care, and ensures primary care physicians and specialists receive up-to-date information about medications and treatment planning.
Collaborative Approach to Cancer Care
We specialize in diagnosing and treating urologic cancers at all stages of disease. By working alongside primary care physicians in a community setting, our goal is to offer early detection before cancer progresses.
When cancer is diagnosed, we provide a multidisciplinary approach to care that involves a team of specialists, including oncologists and gynecologists. Together, we develop a treatment plan that is available close to home, while drawing on the unparalleled resources of the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai. Our patients also benefit from research collaborations with Tisch by gaining access to clinical trials and new therapies that are being rapidly translated from the laboratory bench to the clinical care setting.
