Beginning Wednesday, March 26, if you live on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and need care for a sudden illness, it’s good to know that Mount Sinai has a new Urgent Care center in your neighborhood at Second Avenue and 14th Street. Our new Urgent Care center can treat adults and children, is open all day, every day, and you can walk right in—no appointment needed.
Our urgent care providers are highly trained in diagnosis and treatment of sudden minor illnesses and injuries. If your condition requires a more extensive level of care, we can seamlessly refer you to other specialists or facilities in the Mount Sinai Health System, or one of our hospital emergency departments.

Conditions We Treat
We can treat most minor injuries and illnesses, including:
- Allergies and asthma attacks
- Cuts that need stitches
- Earaches and sinus and eye infections
- Headaches, fevers, and the flu
- Sudden back or neck pain
- Sprains, strains, and broken bones
- Sudden non-musculoskeletal pain
- Skin rashes and infections
- Sore throats and coughs
- Urinary tract infections
- Vomiting, diarrhea, or dehydration and other stomach ailments
- Vaccinations for flu, MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), rabies, varicella, Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis), HepB (hepatitis B)
We accept all insurance plans, including Medicaid. If you don’t have insurance, we can arrange direct payment options.
