The Center for Spirituality and Health Task Force to Address Racism Mission Statement
The Center for Spirituality and Health Task Force to Address Racism aims to develop and implement interventions that eliminate systemic racism from activities in clinical, educational, community outreach, and research settings that are within the Center’s purview. The Task Force plans to ensure the well-being of all at Mount Sinai, especially those from communities that have been marginalized and oppressed.
Our priority is to develop a model of anti-racist thinking and actions that can impact interactions among our staff and the patients and families we care for. We endeavor to support and train staff and trainees so we can live together in justice and equity. To do this, we strive to create opportunities for honest discussion.
