Otolaryngology Concierge Program for Physicians
In August 2019, the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery launched a Concierge Program for physicians to provide streamlined access to our Otolaryngologists across the Mount Sinai Health System. The program serves to coordinate care, improve efficiencies and provide timeliness of appointments for patients who require immediate care. Thousands of patients have benefited from exceptional service, enhanced communication, and appointment optimization. Our dedicated staff are pleased to provide these services to you and your patients.
Helmed by Care Coordinators Cynthia Montenegro and Kenisha Oliver, along with Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning Lisa Chase, this Program team interfaces closely with Physician Access Services, which supports the entire Mount Sinai Health System, as well as with departmental/practice liaisons and physicians. We welcome individual physicians and physician groups who wish to refer patients to the Department, which includes the following Divisions:
- General ENT
- Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Head and Neck Oncology/Head and Neck Institute-Center of Excellence
- Laryngology/Grabscheid Voice and Swallowing Center
- Otology-Neurotology/Ear Institute at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai
- Pediatric ENT
- Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery
- Sleep Surgery
- Vascular Birthmarks and Malformations
Dedicated Care Coordinators for Physician Access to Otolaryngology
Our dedicated care coordinators work closely with physicians, Physician Access Services, liaisons, Otolaryngology’s finance team and medical assistants to facilitate expeditious and appropriate appointments for new patients. This includes obtaining imaging and pathology records, insurance verification, appointment booking, and communication with physicians and patients.
The purposes of this program are to escalate care for patients with various disorders of the ear, nose, and throat, mitigate leakage of patients in need of care, and simplify the referral process, as we are keenly aware how busy physicians are. Additionally, we accept referrals from all EMRs.
