Mount Sinai Health System is fairly new in the industry, as it was formed in 2013 by the combination of The Mount Sinai Medical Center and Continuum Health Partners. However, its history dates back to the mid-1800s, as The Mount Sinai Hospital was chartered in 1852 and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai was chartered in 1820.
