"More Opioids After C-Section = More Opioids at Home" - Molly Walker
The more opioids a patient took in the hospital to recover from cesarean delivery, the more she took once she was discharged, according to a small prospective study presented at a conference recently. Asked for her opinion, Joanne Stone, MD, director, maternal fetal health at Mount Sinai Health System, called these results "A little surprising." She said that clinicians might have a standard order, so they might be "prescribing the same thing for everybody."
