"The Addiction To Technology"
There are many definitions of addiction, some are more formal and more complete than others. One of the simplest definitions is doing something over and over again that is causing harm. As the addiction develops, you can’t stop doing it and you continue to do it despite knowing that it is causing negative consequences to you, your family members, or other parts of your life. Edwin Salsitz, MD, assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai said, “Over the last number of years, a group of activities, which are initially called process addictions, are now called behavioral addictions. This includes shopping, food, exercise, and the internet. In china, they definitely consider the internet to be an addiction. I think that many people in the United States consider it a problem.”
