"Greening Our Children" - John Voket
This week host John Voket speaks with Robert Wright, MD, professor and system chair of the department of environmental medicine and public health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and why the critical children’s and public health research being done there is benefitting from the Tenth Annual ‘Greening Our Children’ Benefit Luncheon happening in Greenwich this week. “In the last 20 years, there has been a huge emphasis on genomics and understanding genes. We have sort of forgotten the really important role the environment plays on our health. There’s a movement now to understand how environment shapes health and how environment interacts with genetics, we have really been on the forefront of that,” said Dr. Wright.
