"Mount Sinai To Remake Rivington House As A Behavioral Health Center" - Jonanthan LaMantia
Mount Sinai Health System plans to make Rivington House, the former HIV/AIDS nursing home that sparked controversy when it was sold to condo developers, into the new site of a Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center. “The new center will be a state-of-the-art, community-oriented destination for behavioral health care and a ‘one-stop’ location of services for mental health, addictions, physical health and social-service needs for the downtown community,” a Mount Sinai spokesperson said. Mount Sinai plans to continue offering inpatient care, detoxification and rehabilitation services at the new site. It will add intensive crisis and respite beds, primary care and a partial hospitalization program, which will provide intensive outpatient services without requiring an overnight stay.
