"Slight Differences Found in Brains of Ex-Cuba Diplomats" - Brianna Abbott
Brain imaging of U.S. diplomats who had reported mysterious health symptoms while working in Havana showed differences in the structure and connections of their brains compared with the brains of a group of healthy people, according to a new study. “It’s possible that whatever they may have been exposed to has produced this below-resolution change in the brain,” said Sophia Frangou, MD, PhD, professor of psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai who wasn’t involved in the study. “But none of the findings that they have really point conclusively to that. They just point to them being slightly different.”
