"South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside Ranks Among Top Hospitals Regionally, Nationally"
U.S. News and World Report’s latest Best Hospitals rankings placed South Nassau Communities Hospital at No. 20 among the 118 hospitals in the New York metropolitan area. In addition, South Nassau’s Division of Urology was ranked 35th nationally. South Nassau is the Long Island flagship hospital of the Mount Sinai Health System. Mount Sinai Hospital was ranked No. 14 nationally — up four spots from last year — and eight of its departments were ranked among the top 20 nationally in their specialties. As a result of South Nassau’s recent partnership with Mount Sinai, South Nassau patients have access to highly specialized care and research at Mount Sinai, as well as an increasing array of services being provided in Oceanside, serving the South Shore of Nassau County. “Our ranking is a direct result of our commitment to excellence and our mission to treat our patients with leading-edge medical technologies and adhere to the highest standards in patient safety and care,” said Richard J. Murphy, South Nassau’s president and CEO, according to a release. “I am proud of the collaboration between our physicians, nurses and patient care team and thank them for their commitment to the communities we serve.”
