Mount Sinai’s Staten Island Cancer Center Moves to New Site
Consolidating two locations into a new, expanded space
Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center-Staten Island has opened at a new location within Corporate Commons Three at 1441 South Avenue, Suite 207, Staten Island, New York. The new location consolidates the Staten Island and Hazlet, New Jersey hematology/oncology practices and infusion centers into a single location.
The center is led by Mahmoud Aly, MD, Medical Director, who is being joined by Yumi Kim, MD, and Rumana Sultana, MD, and his team of physicians, nurses, medical assistants, to combine today’s most advanced diagnostics and therapies with personalized attention to design the best care plan for each of our patients. Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center-Staten Island’s services include infusion and consultation for all types of cancer, and breast cancer surgery, to start, with other cancer surgical subspecialties to be added over time. It also offers non-cancer therapeutic infusions for blood disorders, such as anemia, clotting conditions and gastrointestinal conditions.
“We are exceptionally proud and delighted to unveil the unification of our Mount Sinai Staten Island hematology/oncology practice and infusion center at our new location within Corporate Commons Three,” announced Dr. Aly, a leading oncologist on Staten Island for more than 30 years. “More than a relocation; it's a significant enhancement in our relentless pursuit to offer unparalleled, comprehensive cancer care—from diagnosis to recovery—for both prospective and current patients in the Staten Island community. Consolidating these vital services into one integrated practice underscores our aim to deliver more personalized, patient-centric cancer care. Offering a holistic approach to cancer treatment from the outset to recovery is immensely important for us.”
The space within Corporate Commons Three is 9,950 square feet and features nine exam rooms, one treatment room, 12 infusion bays, two maternity chairs, an onsite lab, and a pharmacy. The cancer center will be the first phase of Mount Sinai’s presence within Corporate Commons Three, with radiology and multispecialty services being added to additional floors in 2024.
"We are proud to welcome Mount Sinai's Infusion Center to our Staten Island community. State-of-the-art medicine in a state-of-the-art space that allows the patient to access needed care and their families to accompany them with ease was the focus of our collaboration,” said Lois and Richard Nicotra, Owners of The Nicotra Group, developers of the Corporate Commons Three location. “Mount Sinai's Infusion Center at Corporate Commons Three has everything their Manhattan centers offer, including an advanced pharmacy that was built to house lifesaving medicines, and many amenities that make multiple visits for infusions less stressful.
