Regulatory and Accreditation
The Mount Sinai Health System is dedicated to maintaining a culture of safety and quality, and nurturing across the Health System. Adherence to standards of high quality of care and patient safety set forth by regulatory and accrediting bodies such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory, licensing and accrediting agencies allow us to benchmark progress throughout our journey to becoming a high reliability organization with zero harm.
Always Patient Ready Program
The Mount Sinai Health System’s Always Patient Ready program aims to support continuous survey readiness to meet regulatory and accreditation requirements for all Mount Sinai Health System Hospital-based Article 28 facilities. Each hospital across the health system conducts Always Patient Ready rounds on a monthly basis using standardized audit tools to assess our compliance with regulatory standards and to identify opportunities for improvement. Our program provides real-time education and coaching of our staff on the standards. Our approach places patient safety at the forefront, ensuring we continue to foster a culture of safety.
