What Employees Need to Know
There is a lot you can do to help promote sustainable practices, both at Mount Sinai and at home. Even the smallest contributions can add up to help reduce our environmental impact.
How you can help
- Turn off lights, computers, and any other machine when not in use.
- Notify engineering of any leaks you see.
- Remember to sort your waste into garbage, recycling, and compost.
- Use re-usable food and beverage containers and utensils.
- Take the stairs instead of escalators or elevators if you can.
- Use more energy efficient methods of traveling, like walking, bicycling, carpooling, or public transportation if you can.
- See FAQs for recycling and composting guidelines
If you have any questions about sustainability and waste programs at Mount Sinai, please email us at sustainmountsinai@mountsinai.org.
