About Us

Under the guidance of Emma Guttman, MD, PhD, The Waldman Professor and System Chair, our dermatologists at the Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai offer the most advanced dermatological care available. We diagnose and treat common and rare skin conditions, conditions that are acute, chronic, and even life threatening. We provide a wide range of treatment and cosmetic services, regardless of your age.

Our team consists of general dermatologists and doctors with expertise in more specialized areas of skin care. We offer the latest treatments for acne, eczema, psoriasis and skin cancer. We also do routine screening for skin cancer and moles, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic care. We have been involved with research that has helped develop some of the most advanced cosmetic dermatology techniques, giving you access to the very latest approaches, including laser therapyfillers, and botulinum toxin.

Advancing Research and Training

Our clinical research division has contributed to most of the recent advances in the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, acne, vitiligo, precancerous lesions, and skin cancers. In our basic science laboratories, our researchers work to understand the cause and molecular pathways of both disease and health. These discoveries will fuel future clinical treatments.

In addition, we know the future of skin care lies in research and education of the next generation of dermatologists. Our rigorously selected residents learn the art and science of dermatology in a three-year residency program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. We also train fellows and dermatologists from around the world as part of our International Fellowship Program.
