Your Thyroid Consultation
Patient First Program
Prior to your visit, one of our clinical coordinators will contact you to help you collect the information required for your visit. This is called our “Patient First Program.” The program is designed to help coordinate your visit to Mount Sinai. The clinical coordinator will review information that will be required for your visit, including any prior ultrasounds, biopsies, or consultations with endocrinologist or primary care physicians. By acquiring this information prior to your visit, the physician will be able to review your information and reduce the likelihood of a second visit. For patients who live far away or have difficulty getting to one of our thyroid centers in Manhattan, New Jersey, or Long Island, we can provide the telemedicine visit.
Where Will You Be Seen?
Our head and neck surgeons see patients in Manhattan, Paramus New Jersey, and Manhasset Long Island. If travel is a challenge, Dr. Genden also offers telemedicine consultations.

Contact Us
Coordinating your visit can be confusing. We communicate with patients through a patient portal called MyChart. This is how you obtain pathology results, copies of your medical records, and communicate with our clinical team and you doctor.
If you have a question, please send us a message through MyChart. If you need to speak with a member of our clinical team, please call 212-241-9410.
Every patient seen at the Thyroid and Parathyroid Center must register with my chart. This link will get you there!
What to Expect at Your Thyroid Consultation
When you come to the office, we are practicing social distancing to limit your exposure and risk. You will meet the physician and his team. The physician will review your records and results, perform physical exam and endoscopy (if needed), perform an ultrasound and biopsy if necessary. The next step of treatment will be determined at the end of your visit.
