Planning Your Surgery Day

For those who are having ambulatory surgery, you will check in on the second floor of the Guggenheim Pavilion. There you will leave your contact information so that the physician can contact you after surgery is complete. Even for those having short ambulatory surgery, the process will take 3 to 4 hours given the time required for check-in, surgery, and recovery.

Where Do I Check-In?

Check-in is on the second floor of the Guggenheim Pavilion. The Mount Sinai Hospital is in the Guggenheim Pavilion entrances are located at 1190 Fifth Avenue (at E. 101st Street) and 1468 Madison Avenue.

Who Can Come with You?

One family member can accompany you to the check inside, we are doing our best to limit exposure given the COVID-19 crisis. As a result, unless the patient is a minor or has disabilities that require a member of the family to be present, we will limit family members beyond the initial check-in. Family members are welcome to wait in the check-in waiting room or the hospital atrium while waiting for their family member to complete surgery.
