Because we care about you, we want you to be happy with your breast-size choice. Your surgeon will consult with you, listening carefully to understand your desire for enhancing your breast size. Your doctor will also help you decide about the size and shape that will look best for your body.
During your consultation, your plastic surgeon will explain what happens during the procedure and answer any questions you may have.

Finally, we will need to confirm that you are a candidate for breast augmentation. We perform a physical exam that includes asking you series of health-related questions.

Treatments We Offer

Today you have several options for enlarging your breasts. There are two types of implants and one non-implant option as well. We will help you choose the best option for you. Our goal is always to give you a natural shape and size that you will be happy with.

Breast implants

The typical form of breast augmentation is performed using an implant, a curved silicone shell filled with a flexible substance, either silicone gel or saline which is a solution of salt and water. Your surgeon inserts the implant into the breast through a small incision under your own breast tissue.

Of the two main types of breast implants, we advise you based on your body type and your desired outcome:

• Silicone breast implants—look and feel natural in the breasts.
• Saline breast implants—is a firmer, rounder implant.

NaturalFill

A new way to augment breasts uses a fat transfer technique - known as NaturalFill^®— and was pioneered and perfected by Mount Sinai surgeons. NaturalFill^®is a two-step procedure. First, your surgeon removes fat from your buttocks or abdomen with a liposuction technique. The surgeon then immediately inserts that fat into your breasts to enlarge them using your own fat deposits. Taking fat from an unwanted area of your body to enhance your breasts is a win-win. Your surgeon will help you make your choice between implant types or fat transfer, depending on what is best for you.

You can expect your breast augmentation results to last for years and years. However, as with breasts that haven’t been augmented, there are some conditions that may cause natural drooping over time: pregnancy and nursing (yes, you can nurse with augmented breasts), or if you gain or lose a significant amount of weight. If that happens, you may want to consider a procedure to enhance your breasts again. A breast lift is often a possible option, or if you like, we can replace your breast implants along the lift line.
