Cell-Targeted Therapy Shows Early Promise Against MS
Treatment targeting specific white blood cells in the immune system known as B cells may help people with multiple sclerosis (MS), new research suggests. Fred Lublin, MD, Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Director of the Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis at The Mount Sinai Health System, said that if the findings were repeated in a larger study, the therapy "would be an important step forward in MS treatment."
