It is a general medical and surgical facility and a teaching hospital. The Mount Sinai Hospital, located in New York City, was founded in 1852. The Mount Sinai Hospital campus in Manhattan is composed of nine buildings – besides the hospital itself, there are also the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Kravis Children’s Hospital. Mount Sinai Health System was created in 2013 when Mount Sinai Medical Center and Continuum Health Partners combined.
