East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership
The East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP) is the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai's student-run, physician-supervised free clinic. We provide primary care to uninsured adults in East Harlem. Our services are confidential and are provided at no cost.
Mission Statement
In recognition of the lack of access to health care that affects so many, our mission at EHHOP is to create a health outreach partnership with the East Harlem community. We provide quality healthcare, regardless of ability to pay or lack of health insurance.
As part of our intent to care comprehensively for our patients, we serve as a bridge to medical and social support resources. We offer confidential, compassionate care in a safe, respectful environment. We aim to establish a positive approach to medicine by creating shared goals with our patients and by empowering our patients to participate actively in their physical and emotional well-being to enhance the effectiveness of our services.
ISMMS Partnerships
The East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership’s success is possible only through the cooperation and dedication of many individuals and departments at ISMMS. These include clinical laboratories, the Department of Radiology, the Division of General Internal Medicine, the Development Office, and Medical Education.
Active and Past Contributors
EHHOP's clinic space and much of our equipment comes from the kind donation made by Mount Sinai Doctors Internal Medicine Associates and the Mount Sinai Auxillary Board. To cover the rest of our administrative and patient care costs, we actively seek out additional funding sources. To help support EHHOP please visit our How to Donate page.
