Jonathan Nover
Jonathan Nover, MBA, RN, is Vice President of Nursing, Emergency Services for the Mount Sinai Health System. He oversees the delivery of nursing care in all of the emergency departments across the Mount Sinai Health System. In addition, he advocates for the advancement and improvement of emergency services.
Mr. Nover brings more than a decade and a half of progressive and transformational nursing leadership to the role. He joined Mount Sinai in 2019 as Senior Director of Nursing at Mount Sinai Queens. In this role, he directed and oversaw the daily operations of the emergency department (ED), critical care and medical-surgical services, inpatient dialysis, and evening/night administrator services.
A lifelong New Yorker, Mr. Nover had previously served in several leadership positions at New York City Health + Hospitals including Associate Executive Director and Emergency Department, and Hospital Patient Experience Officer at South Brooklyn Health; and Associate Director of the Nursing Adult and Psychiatric Emergency Department at Lincoln Hospital. He was Assistant Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
In his spare time, Mr. Nover is involved in the community. He chairs the New York State Emergency Nurses Association-Government Affairs Committee and serves in the New York City Medical Reserve Corps. He holds both a Bachelor’s of Nursing degree and a Master’s of Business Administration in Health Administration Management from St. Joseph’s University in Brooklyn, NY.
