Our urologists have expertise in providing patient-centered general urologic care. We provide the most up-to-date services available to treat, diagnose and manage a wide variety of urologic conditions including kidney and urinary tract disease, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urologic cancers (prostate, bladder, testicular, kidney, adrenal), male infertility, and sexual dysfunction. Our specialists are experts in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery. Mount Sinai Urology regularly partners with other departments in the health system, including radiology, medicine, and oncology to ensure we are providing the most comprehensive, personalized and coordinated treatment.

Prostate Cancer We typically use robotics and minimally invasive procedures for cancer that has not spread beyond the prostate gland (localized prostate cancer). Our research has assisted in the development of innovative therapies, including Provenge® (sipuleucel-T), the vaccine for prostate cancer approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Bladder Cancer We use tumor markers and other advanced diagnostic techniques for treating bladder cancer. Our surgeons employ robotic and laparoscopic surgery to perform cystectomies (removal of bladder), which greatly decreases the effects of treatment on quality of life.
Kidney Cancer Our specialists have pioneered robotic partial nephrectomy for treatment of small kidney cancers. We also offer other minimal invasive options, such as cryoablation (freezing) or radiofrequency ablation (heating), which enable us to treat small cancers while preserving maximum kidney function.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia We offer the latest minimally invasive technologies and treatments for this condition, including holium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP), Greenlight ™ laser photoselective vaporization of the prostate, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and bipolar cautery vaporization (Button TURP). We perform many of these procedures on an outpatient basis.
Reconstructive Urology, Female Urology and Voiding Dysfunction We provide comprehensive resources for diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence, neuro-urological problems caused by diseases such as multiple sclerosis and diabetes mellitus, and pelvic pain syndrome for both men and women. Our doctors have advanced training in urethral reconstruction and interstitial cystitis.
Erectile Dysfunction and Infertility Our Sexual Health Program uses advanced techniques to evaluate the causes of erectile dysfunction. We offer a wide variety of treatment options and have enjoyed high success rates. We emphasize providing the guidance that you and your partners need to make the appropriate treatment decisions.
Kidney Stones Whenever possible, we use minimally invasive procedures, including laser and ultrasonic lithotripsy techniques. Treatment depends on type of kidney stone and its size.
Infertility We use the latest medications for treating infertility, including in vitro fertilization tech-niques, and microsurgical repairs, all of which have high success rates.
Pediatric Urology We excel in treating urologic problems in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, using the latest minimally invasive treatments such as robotic-assisted surgery.
