The Mount Sinai Therapeutic Infusion Center offers comprehensive infusion therapy for adults and children. Our experienced teams of doctors and nurses use the latest research. We design treatment to meet your individual needs.

What is Infusion Therapy?

If you have a serious or chronic condition, you may need more medication than we can give orally. Our doctors may decide that the best approach is infusion therapy. This method usually involves using a needle or catheter.

Patient Care and Research

Mount Sinai has been a leader in immune deficiency research for more than a quarter of a century. We pioneered many of the techniques used today. Our Center is a vital component in providing care for patients with immune-mediated disorders. (These also known as immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. These disorders affect the immune system and can target any part of the body.)

At the Infusion Center, we treat more than 20 immune-mediated disorders and conditions, including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, gout, and multiple sclerosis, among others.

This does not include chemotherapy treatment, which we offer at at The Derald H. Ruttenberg Treatment Center.

Led by Medical Director Dr. Charlotte Cunningham-Rundles, an internationally recognized leader in immune deficiency research, our Infusion Center brings together a team of highly trained physicians, nurses, and on-site pharmacists.

As part of one of the nation’s leading health systems and a top-ranked medical school, we can easily collaborate with experts at Mount Sinai in clinical immunology, gastroenterology, neurology, endocrinology, rheumatology, dermatology, geriatrics, pediatric gastroenterology, transplantation, and other specialties to ensure we meet your individual needs. We offer access to advanced treatment options as they are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Pharmacy Services 

Our pharmacists are an integral part of the Infusion Center team. They compound each customized infusion, tell you what to expect from your infusions, and coordinate care with our nurses and nurse practitioners.
