Robert Ritch, MD, distinguished chair in ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai will host the “Robert Ritch Forum on Medicine of the Future” at the World Ophthalmology Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Ritch’s forum will highlight cutting-edge technology in the fields of nanotechnology, bioengineering, and artificial intelligence. “The groundbreaking advancements are in the infancy stages, but will become major factors in our lives and in medicine 20 years from now. Most clinicians don’t know about these topics and it’s important to understand what the implications are for the future,” said Dr. Ritch.
