"Diabetes Foundation Awards $8M in Training Grants"
Manhattan-based JDRF, formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, has awarded $8 million in new funds to accelerate type 1 diabetes research. The grants, awarded internationally, are meant to help train the next generation of type 1 diabetes experts. In New York, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai tops the organization’s list of funded research with about $2 million.
