The Adolescent Health Center’s new Ophthalmic suite, in conjunction with Cohen’s Fashion optical, is now open! The Ophthalmic suite offers refractions by a doctor of Optometry, referrals for Ophthalmologic care and a beautiful selection of eyeglasses all free to our adolescents. Additionally, the new suite will:

• Evaluate the functional status of the eyes and visual system
• Assess ocular health status using appropriate diagnostic procedure
• Evaluate and fit patients with glasses or contact lenses
• Provide emergency screening
• Counsel and education about disease conditions, prevention and health maintenance
• Screening of patients with diabetes and other systemic health conditions with appropriate referrals and interventions
• Refer to Ophthalmology sub-specialty clinics
